After what has seemed like an eternal trial, cursed U.S. doom metal overlords LOSS have finally completed work on their debut full-length album, aptly titled “Despond”.
In what has become a culmination of many years of personal struggle, torment, depression, anxiety, and despair, LOSS have created an epic mournful dirge that serves its purpose as a monumental ode to suffering, negativity, and death.
Already harnessing a respectable reputation within doom metal, through the band’s repertoire that comprises of several EPs and splits (alongside bands such as Worship, Necros Christos, and Morunful Congregation) and most notably from their revered “Life Without Hope…” mini-album, “Despond” will serve as a self-reflective work of doom metal art that will bring one face to face with the fragility and the inevitable finality of life’s continuum.
