Due to profound reasons there will also be no DOOM SHALL RISE festival in 2012 after this year's cancellation. Here's an excerpt of organizer Frank's statement:
"(...) Unfortunately – and despite other plans there will be no DOOM SHALL RISE in 2012!
The reason for the break in 2011 is well known: my wife Chantal (also in charge of DSR merch) and I have become parents of our wonderful twins Merlin and Morgain on the 12th of May 2010, Our Twins Of Doom. Therefore it was clear that there would be no DSR this year as we didn’t want to miss a moment in the exciting first months.
Even though M&M are very relaxed and easy to handle they demand more time every day, they get more active and daring and their lives become more exciting. For me as a domestic engineer and fulltime daddy it means that there is no spare time left to organize DSR. It is very time-consuming and every year a risky venture to make the festival happens with the given financial backing. It demands full dedication and concentration and I won’t have the time for it in the foreseeable future.(...)"
