Nachdem die Musiker von MOUNT SALEM im Sommer 2012 begonnen hatten, erste Stücke zu komponieren, veröffentlichten sie im darauffolgenden Frühling "Endless". Die Band legt viel Wert auf den richtigen Sound und das entsprechende Feeling, sowohl im Studio als auch live, weshalb die Mitglieder gleich zu Beginn eigens neue Instrumente anschafften, und das Ergebnis klingt nun viel natürlicher, als sie es sich je erträumt hätten.
Beeinflusst von Black Sabbath und Pentagram spielen sie lauten, harten Rock n' Roll mit Vintage-Equipment, verleihen der Musik aber einen eigenen finsteren, geheimnisvollen Dreh, um den Hörer in ihre düstere Welt zu ziehen. Die Bildersprache ihrer Texte beschert nimmt mit auf eine Reise, in deren Zug man nicht weiß, ob man sich fürchten oder zu einem Schwert greifen soll, um sich mit ins Schlachtgetümmel zu schlagen. Endless ist im Februar über Metal Blade Records wiederveröffentlicht worden und enthält zwei ganz neue Tracks, die nicht auf der Original-EP enthalten waren, welche die Band 2012 in Eigenregie veröffentlichte. Fans können die Scheibe auf Vinyl, CD oder digital bestellen und sich die erste Single 'Lucid' HERE anhören.

MOUNT SALEM started writing music together in the summer of 2012 and released their first EP, "Endless", in the spring of 2013. The band puts a strong emphasis on tone and feeling in both their songs and live performances alike. Most of the band switched from their normal instruments and picked up new ones for this band and the result was much more natural than they had hoped for.
Taking influence from the classics like Black Sabbath and Pentagram, they play loud, heavy rock and roll using all vintage gear. Throwing their own twist of dark and mysterious doom into the music, they invite the listener to step into their sinister realm. The imagery in the lyrics will take you on a ride in which you won't know whether to be scared or grab a sword and join the battle. "Endless" has been re-issued by Metal Blade Records last February and includes two brand-new tracks not featured on the original EP that was self-released by the band in 2012. Fans can stream the first single, 'Lucid', as well as ordering the album on CD, vinyl, or digitally HERE.
