HORSEBACK are currently streaming their forthcoming release The Gorgon Tongue in its entirety online now at this location. The Gorgon Tongue will see its release on May 23rd and combines HORSEBACK’s Impale Golden Horn and Forbidden Planet albums together as a two-disc set. The Gorgon Tongue is available for pre-order at this location as well as digitally via iTunes.
HORSEBACK recently premiered the video for The Gorgon Tongue track “Blood Fountain” via Stereogum.com. The video was directed by Jon Mackey and the track is also now available for free download via the Utne Reader May 2011 music sampler at this location.
Impale Golden Horn, Jenks Miller’s 2007 solo debut as HORSEBACK, was previously released on CD via Burly Time / Holidays for Quince. Forbidden Planet is the most recent HORSEBACK recording that was released as a limited-to-100 cassette only release through Brave Mysteries. The Gorgon Tongue’s artwork was designed exclusively for this release by Denis Forkas Kostromitin and an in-depth making-of blog about the art can be viewed here.
