The first few bands for this year’s edition of the Dutch Doom Days festival are revealed. Amongst others, Hooded Menace, Desire and Fall of the Idosls will perform on the festival. As usual the festival will present a nice blend of new talent and doom veterans as well as a good mixture of the different styles in the doom genre.
This year the festival will take place on November 6th and 7th and will offer a stage to. The first five bands that are announced to perform on the Dutch Doom Days festival are Hooded Menace (Finland, first BeNeLux appearance), Desire (Portugal), Evadne (Spain), Fall of the Idols (Finland) and Iron Hearse (UK). Former organiser of the festival responds:
“The first announced bands for this year’s edition of the longest running doom festival in the world are again absolutely great. Doom metal is one of the genres with the largest variation of styles and again the festival will present every subgenre the best way possible. Highlights so far are Hooded Menace’s first steps on Dutch ground and the return of Desire from Portugal, one of the best bands to perform on the second edition. The first weekend of November will shake Rotterdam on the downtuned sounds of doom!”
