"Aeonian", the second full-length from ETHEREAL RIFFIAN, elevates the Ukrainian onto the next level of musical progression

ETHEREAL RIFFIAN was formed in summer of 2010. After spending several years and experimenting with different musical styles, they have found sonic vibrations that sound in unison with ER's collective consciousness. "Shaman's Visions", the debut work of ER, was released in 2011 and the result of the long search.

Exactly one year later, the next release "Dkyil Khor (Sand Mandala)" was added to the band's discography. The twenty-minute meditational single was written for one of the expositions of the Arsenale-Biennale 2012 exhibition, which was devoted to the transience of time and the search of self.

The second full-length album called "Aeonian" is the band's most mature work, which unites all the best talents of its members. The eponimous book merged as a result of their intention to fully disclose the ideas and concepts of the album. While working on the narrative, ER realized that from now on books would become an integral part of the band’s creative work, for they let reinforce the images created by the music and inculcate them in the consciousness of the listeners.

The band's activity has two main objectives: to compose unconventional music, which is able to expand the frames of the listener's musical perception, and to shed light on the existence of a subtler plane, whose laws if understood properly may help to perceive the reality on a deeper level. In order to achieve the abovementioned goals, ER diligently work on each new release. That is exactly why the ones who get acquainted with the creative work of ER need to be very attentive.

"We sincerely hope that the message carefully integrated in our music is able to induce our listeners, and now our readers as well, to open up the new facets of existence and kindle the light of their true self, which will not dim even in the darkest nooks of Sheol." - ETHEREAL RIFFIAN

VIN DE MIA TRIX: "Once Hidden From Sight" available now (CD & Free download)

HDR - 033 / SP - 076: Vin de Mia Trix - Once Hidden From Sight
Available now in CD edition or FREE digital download!

The debut album from the Ukrainian doom metal band Vin de Mia Trix entitled "Once Hidden From Sight" is now officially released and available in both CD format in a luxurious 12 page booklet with full lyrics and as a name-your-price (free) download from Bandcamp!!

"After numerous gigs (including Doom Over Kiev, Moscow Doom Fest, and supporting Saturnus, Mourning Beloveth and Autumnia among others), a self-released demo and an EP, Vin de Mia Trix comes up with their debut full-length “Once Hidden From Sight.” Blending together various doom sub-genres, the album from the Ukrainian band is a culmination of over 3 years of writing and perfecting their own sound. Lengthy mid-tempo opuses with crushing funeral riffs morphing into melancholic acoustic passages create a mysterious and dark atmosphere with songs rooted between Funeral and Death/Doom Metal, but incorporating bits of Black Metal, Post-Rock, Progressive Metal, Blues and some other genres. Co-released by Hypnotic Dirge Records and Solitude Productions with a 12-page booklet with lyrics included, “Once Hidden From Sight” offers every fan of dark music something for the soul!"

Our free access philosophy has been put into practice for this release! For many reasons, including the desire of the band and for the first time ever for a CD release, we are offering "Once Hidden From Sight" as a FREE DIGITAL DOWNLOAD in its entirety!! You can of course still show your support by donating something when you download or by buying the CD version.

Vin de Mia Trix put out a statement on the decision to release the album for free:

"As we’ve already announced, our album ‘Once Hidden From Sight’ will be available for FREE download in its entirety from our Bandcamp page upon its release on Monday, August 26.
And we’d like to note that it’s not only an experiment for us, showing if we manage to earn more this way. Obviously an underground band like ours doesn’t really expect to earn much with our music, anyway it’s not our raison d’être.
What matters is that the world we live in is changing very fast, and the music industry today is facing a tremendous shift of values. There is a very good book we’d recommend to all the young musicians around, which is called ‘Music in the Digital Age’. It can be found here https://leanpub.com/dubber. Note that the download policy obeys the same ‘name-your-price’ principle, which conforms perfectly to the views put forward in the book by Andrew Dubber.“ - VdmT band

The track 'Suffocation' from Odradek Room's upcoming album 'Bardo. Relative Reality' has now been made available for streaming and free download. This is now the third song to be made available from 'Bardo. Relative Reality' and this one really explores the softer and slower side of Odradek Room's multifaceted sound weaving dreamy melody, soulful vocals, and a melancholic atmosphere. Clean vocals sung in Russian are also clearly heard on this track and this language really works well to create the appropriate sound.

As well as this, the 'Bardo. Relative Reality.' album is now available for pre-order as of today! The album consists of seven songs and an hour playtime, released in a digipack with a 12 page booklet including the full album's lyrics in both Russian and English. The album is due for release on March 9, 2013 which is also when the full album will be available online for free streaming and $5 digital downloads. For now, the album can be ordered worldwide by going to the link below and those who pre-order will receive a digital download of the album while they wait for their CD to arrive!

Named after one of Franz Kafka's short stories, Odradek Room is an atmospheric and progressive death-doom band with post-rock leanings from Mariupol, Ukraine. Initially formed in 2008 under the name 'Shards of Silence', the past five years has given the band ample time to develop and refine their sound for their debut album 'Bardo. Relative Reality.' Creating dynamic and profound music, rich in tempo and mood variation, Odradek Room has crafted an extremely strong debut which perfectly shows the duality between the aggressive and melancholic sides of death-doom combining slow plodding riffs, soaring emotional melodies, post-rock leanings, and a psychedelic touch to create a rich canvas of sonic majesty. A conceptual album based on the ideas of the Tibetan Book of the Dead and surreal images of the subliminal consciousness, the album consists of seven songs and an hour playtime, released in a digipack with a 12 page booklet including the full album's lyrics in both Russian and English, since it was very important to the band for the lyrical concept of this work to be comprehensible in both languages. Unique, mature, and with a well-defined personality, Bardo. Relative Reality. is a highly recommended debut album from this young Ukrainian band.

This April, Odradek Room will share the stage with Mourning Beloveth, Shape of Despair, Kauan, Crypt of Silence, and I Miss my Death at the sixth installment of Ukraine's largest Doom festival, Doom Over Kiev!
