Hypnotic Dirge Records have a new double compilation out! Part 2, "Disillusionment and Indifference", serves DOOM for free!

Here's the fifth annual Hypnotic Dirge Records digital compilation album which is separated into two distinct albums and tracklists. This is "disc" two, entitled "Disillusionment and Indifference", mostly focusing on Doom Metal and related genres.

The second “disc” - entitled “The Wild Haunts Us Still; Disillusionment and Indifference” presenting the Doom Metal related material includes tracks from Lycanthia, Odradek Room, Vin de Mia Trix, Subterranean Disposition, and stroszek from the Hypnotic Dirge side, while also including Wine From Tears, Negative Voice, Cuckoo’s Nest, As Autumn Calls, and Truthseeker (Brendan from Obsidian Tongue’s other project) as guest artists and including two widely different cover songs, one of which is Madonna`s “Frozen” covered by Subterranean Disposition and including a guest saxaphone appearance and the other being “tecumseh valley”, a Townes Van Zandt song covered by stroszek.

Vin de Mia Trix put out a statement on the decision to release the album for free:

"As we’ve already announced, our album ‘Once Hidden From Sight’ will be available for FREE download in its entirety from our Bandcamp page upon its release on Monday, August 26.
And we’d like to note that it’s not only an experiment for us, showing if we manage to earn more this way. Obviously an underground band like ours doesn’t really expect to earn much with our music, anyway it’s not our raison d’être.
What matters is that the world we live in is changing very fast, and the music industry today is facing a tremendous shift of values. There is a very good book we’d recommend to all the young musicians around, which is called ‘Music in the Digital Age’. It can be found here https://leanpub.com/dubber. The track 'Suffocation' from Odradek Room's upcoming album 'Bardo. Relative Reality' has now been made available for streaming and free download. This is now the third song to be made available from 'Bardo. Relative Reality' and this one really explores the softer and slower side of Odradek Room's multifaceted sound weaving dreamy melody, soulful vocals, and a melancholic atmosphere. Clean vocals sung in Russian are also clearly heard on this track and this language really works well to create the appropriate sound.

As well as this, the 'Bardo. Relative Reality.' album is now available for pre-order as of today! The album consists of seven songs and an hour playtime, released in a digipack with a 12 page booklet including the full album's lyrics in both Russian and English. Named after one of Franz Kafka's short stories, Odradek Room is an atmospheric and progressive death-doom band with post-rock leanings from Mariupol, Ukraine. Initially formed in 2008 under the name 'Shards of Silence', the past five years has given the band ample time to develop and refine their sound for their debut album 'Bardo. Relative Reality.' Creating dynamic and profound music, rich in tempo and mood variation, Odradek Room has crafted an extremely strong debut which perfectly shows the duality between the aggressive and melancholic sides of death-doom combining slow plodding riffs, soaring emotional melodies, post-rock leanings, and a psychedelic touch to create a rich canvas of sonic majesty. A conceptual album based on the ideas of the Tibetan Book of the Dead and surreal images of the subliminal consciousness, the album consists of seven songs and an hour playtime, released in a digipack with a 12 page booklet including the full album's lyrics in both Russian and English, since it was very important to the band for the lyrical concept of this work to be comprehensible in both languages.
