Heavy/Doom metal progenitors SAINT VITUS are streaming one of the bonus tracks from their forthcoming reissue of 'C.O.D.' The bonus track, titled "The Chameleon" is streaming now at
Pitchfork.
Regarding the unreleased track, guitarist Dave Chandler said, "I sent our U.S. label (at the time ) the tracks “The Chameleon” and “To Breed A Soldier” that I wrote with Christian (Linderson). The label did not like the direction the album was going and that really pissed us off. I scrapped everything I was working on and told Christian that things were not working out, so he left and went back home to Sweden.
The two bonus songs on the reissue weren't actually written for the C.O.D. Both were written after C.O.D. was released, and were intended to be demo tracks for the next SAINT VITUS album. As they were the only other recordings from the era with Christian, we decided to put them out on the C.O.D. re-issue"
The re-issues of 'COD' and ‘Die Healing’ will be available on CD, limited-edition double LP, and colored vinyl gatefold LPs. 'Remastered and enhanced with two previously unreleased bonus tracks, ‘C.O.D.’ features COUNT RAVEN’s Christian Linderson on vocals, while ‘Die Healing’ sees original SAINT VITUS singer Scott Reagers return to the mic.
