In diesem Fall handelt es sich um eine Deluxe-Reissue des Debüts von MOON CURSE aus Milwaukee, welches sechs Songs lang beweist, dass es in der Schnittmenge aus SABBATH- und ZEPPELIN-Riffing sowie einer gediegenen Portion Fuzz und Stoner-Groove noch einiges zu sagen gibt, vor allem, wenn das Ergebnis derartig tief in den Analen der heavy Rockmusik gräbt und die richtigen Zutaten nicht nur findet, sondern zu eingängigen und kurzweiligen Kompositionen zusammenfügt. Allen ORCHID-, KADAVAR- und klanggenössischen Retro-/Doom-Fans sei dieses Album dringend ans Herz gelegt. Hier geht's allerdings sehr gemütlich und erdig zur Sache, zuweilen auch offensiv WINDHANDig und CATHEDRALisch - das gefällt! Hört euch unbedingt den Vinyl-Only-Track "Seminary Woods" an!	Beneath the faded light of Milwaukee's infamous "polish moon" clock tower (a structure built for the sole intent of dominating the night sky and the view of it's immigrant residents), three bleary eyed mystics brew stoner hymns dedicated to baphomet bongsmoke, Pontiac muscle and 70's rock n' rollers. following a DOOMED path, tred by true HEAVY fanatics before them, a path that will always remain for those dedicated to the riff; MOON CURSE walk with intent to play loud and proud! Keith bangs the drums, Rochelle strums the Squier P bass, and Matt breaks Orange amplifiers and howls. One could cite Sabbath (duh!), Zeppelin, or a handful of other protometal-fuzz-stoner-whatever-rock as influnces, but you get the idea! You know it! You love it! So ... GET CURSED!

Wer auf die Hippie-Phasen der heiligen CATHEDRAL steht, auf die vergrasten Tieftöne von ELECTRIC WIZARD und fuzzigen 70er-Prog-Rock aus Italien abfährt, wird "Chasma Hideout", das neue Album von der Band BRAIN PYRAMID, lieben.
Abwechslung, auch in Speed-technischer Hinsicht, ist auf dem Release Programm. Mein persönlicher Lieblingssong ist "Lucifer" - antesten und bitte einen angemessenen Preis für die kurzweilige Album-Gesamtleistung auf der Bandcamp-Seite von Acid Cosmonaut Records investieren! Heavy Zeug!

It’s been nearly three years since Grifter’s self-titled debut album was released on Ripple Music in 2011. That album was a critical success garnering impressive reviews and hitting the year-end best-of lists on such notable sites as The Obelisk, The Soda Shop, Chybucca Sounds, Heavy Planet and plenty more. Grifter supported the release with a UK tour as special guests to Orange Goblin and slots at various festivals such as the inaugural Desertfest London and Freak Valley Festival in 2012 and in 2013 at Britain’s prestigious Bloodstock Festival and Hard Rock Hell.

It’s 2014 and Grifter are set to release their second album "The Return Of The Bearded Brethren" once again through Ripple Music. Whereas the first album was a bunch of tracks the band had spanning their career up to that point the new album with written with one aim in mind: to write a killer album that would hit hard from start to finish yet contained songs that would kick arse in their own right. "The Return Of The Bearded Brethren" picks up where the debut left off but builds in every way from the quality of the song writing and playing boasting a fat production courtesy of Rich Robinson.

The album, which will include many tales of Guinness, '70s sex symbols, drinking regrets, religious folly and more, is slotted to be released on August 11 in the UK and will be coming out in Europe on August 14 of 2014. Additionally, look for Grifter live across the UK and maybe even the US.

FLOOR are back. The trio formed in 1992 achieved legendary status with only one full-length, their self-titled debut album "Floor" (2002) and despite splitting two years later. Their first line-up consisted of guitarist and vocalist Steve Brooks, Anthony Vialon on guitar and bass, and drummer Betty Monteavaro. The latter was replaced by Jeff Sousa in 1993, while Brooks and Vialon dropped the bass in favour of two low-tuned guitars. This line-up released several cult vinyl 7" EPs until a first break-up in 1996. The guitarists returned with Henry Wilson on drums for one show in 1997. Following hard on the heels of KYUSS, FLOOR are brothers in spirit to the desert rock feeling of shimmering heat, the pound and stomp of heavy engines, and a burning taste of diesel in the air. After breaking up again, Steve Brooks moved on and formed TORCHE with massive success. Yet the guitarist and singer still agreed to a reunion tour in 2010 to celebrate the release of "Below & Beyond", which encompassed the trio’s complete material until that point in an 8-CD/10-LP box set. Heavily enjoying the experience and further fuelled by the exponentially grown following during their hiatus, FLOOR decided to record a new album. Now "Oblation" picks up where "Floor" left off more than ten years ago. Adding a dose of doom and a dash of drone, the new album crushes with a powerful production. CONVERGE guitarist Kurt Ballou mixed the album at GodCity Studios (TORCHE, KVELERTAK, HIGH ON FIRE) and the mastering was done by Alan Douches (BARONESS, BLACK TUSK, MOTÖRHEAD). Lean back, crank up and sacrifice to the gods of stoner rock with this mighty "Oblation".

MOS GENERATOR formed during the winter of 2000 in Port Orchard, Washington from the ashes of a ten year off & on collaboration between it's three members, all of which are long time veterans of road & studio. Cult Acid Fuzz Rockers SPACE PROBE TAURUS Sign Worldwide Deal With Ripple Music!

New album "Mondo Satan" to be released in summer 2014!

RIPPLE MUSIC is proud to announce the signing of acclaimed, hard-hitting acid biker heavy rockers, SPACE PROBE TAURUS to their ever-expanding roster!

Space Probe Taurus has been around in one form or another since 1992, but it wasn't until a name change and shortening of the songs in 1997 that the band settled down into doing what they still do today: preaching the gospel of dirty garage rock Swedish style. Their music has been called Biker Movie Acid Fuzz and that sums it up as well as anything we could say!

Since the release of the Blue Cheer tribute CD “Blue Explosion”, by Black Widow Records, the band has been part of many compilations. And the year after saw the release of their first own record, the “Insect City” EP on Game Two/Slowdive Records. The band has also been involved deeply in the American low budget movie scene, first providing a song for the “I Am Vengeance” soundtrack (released by Meteor City Records in 2001), then having 12 songs in the movie “Actress Apocalypse”. Upcoming in 2014 is the movie “Franklin” which will include yet another song (a demo version of the song “Mondo Satan”).

In 2008 it was time for the first album, a self-titled debut released by the Belgian label Buzzville Records, which got outstanding reviews from all over the world.

Since the release of the album the band has kept writing new material, played live and kept recording new demos. In 2012 the general feeling was that a new album needed to be done, and after a long process of deciding on the songs the band started to record, what would become the album “Mondo Satan”, scheduled to be released on Ripple Music in summer 2014!

SPIRAL GURU is a Brazilian stoner/doom band, with themes focused on science fiction, extraterrestrial life, the psychedelia from the 60s. They say to be influenced by bands like Jimi Hendrix, Coven, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Blue Öyster Cult, and especially by the masters Black Sabbath and their bastard children Saint Vitus, The Obsessed, Witchfinder General, Pagan Altar, Candlemass, Cathedral, Sleep, Electric Wizard, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, among others. STEAK nehmen Debüt-Album in der kalifornischen Wüste auf / STEAK to record debut album in the California desert

In exactly two weeks, London's hottest stoner outfit STEAK will hit the California desert to record their first full-length, due out this fall on Napalm Records. Turn on the generators...

After two critically acclaimed EPs Disastronaught and Corned Beef Colossus and a serie of successful gigs across Spain, France, Switzerland and England, the fuzzy foursome is packing up and heading to SoCal to record what will be an authentic desert rock full-length. The album will be recorded at Thunder Underground Studios in Palm Springs, produced by Harper Hug (Vista Chino, Yawning Man, Brant Bjork) and co-produced by Arthur Seay (from Unida and House Of Broken Promises). STEAK's debut effort is due out this fall on Napalm Records.

Within two years, STEAK have established themselves as "one of the British heavy rock scene's most satisfying acts" (The Obelisk). Following the sandy steps of their American elders Kyuss or Fu Manchu, their music is driven by frantic riffs and contagious grooves, tinged with moments of pure cosmic escapism. Exploiting sci-fi and comics imagery (each record being wrapped in fantastic artwork by DC Comics artist Eduardo Ferigato), STEAK's vibe is nothing but gutsy and lively: it's no coincidence if the band already shared stages with the likes of Monster Magnet, Lowrider and Dozer.

Here's an enthusiastic statement about the upcoming journey, from STEAK's riffmaker in chief Reece: "With the help from some desert rock legends, this album is going to be bigger and more badass than anything we have done before. We just need to make it out of Vegas alive! Thanks to Napalm Records, we have been able to take the time to create some of the best tracks to date and let them evolve naturally. Having two weeks in the studio will be a total contrast to the short time we had to record the first EPs, and will hopefully show through on the end product."

Psychedelically layered Stoner Punk with touches of Doom?! LIGHTSABRES from Sweden plays it!

LIGHTSABRES is a one-man band from Luleå, Sweden, playing psychedelically layered stoner punk with touches of both post-rock and doom. The debut 9 track album Demons was recorded at home on a 4-track handrecorder to get the sound as raw and ragged as possible. In 2012, they paired up with French doom metal monsters Year Of No Light to release a 3-track split record, which sells out in a blink of an eye.

The release of their EP “Be My guide” in the spring of 2013 prophetically opened the path for an extensive tour across Europe, then across the Atlantic Ocean for a few exciting gigs in Latin America, where they recorded their new album, due April 2014 on LISTENABLE RECORDS. A limited edition 7” EP containing exclusive material will be released in March, more details coming shortly.

FLOOR are back. The trio formed in 1992 achieved legendary status with only one full-length, their self-titled debut album "Floor" (2002) and despite splitting two years later. Their first line-up consisted of guitarist and vocalist Steve Brooks, Anthony Vialon on guitar and bass, and drummer Betty Monteavaro. The latter was replaced by Jeff Sousa in 1993, while Brooks and Vialon dropped the bass in favour of two low-tuned guitars. This line-up released several cult vinyl 7" EPs until a first break-up in 1996. The guitarists returned with Henry Wilson on drums for one show in 1997. Following hard on the heels of KYUSS, FLOOR are brothers in spirit to the desert rock feeling of shimmering heat, the pound and stomp of heavy engines, and a burning taste of diesel in the air. After breaking up again, Steve Brooks moved on and formed TORCHE with massive success. Yet the guitarist and singer still agreed to a reunion tour in 2010 to celebrate the release of "Below & Beyond", which encompassed the trio’s complete material until that point in an 8-CD/10-LP box set. Heavily enjoying the experience and further fuelled by the exponentially grown following during their hiatus, FLOOR decided to record a new album. Now "Oblation" picks up where "Floor" left off more than ten years ago. Adding a dose of doom and a dash of drone, the new album crushes with a powerful production. CONVERGE guitarist Kurt Ballou mixed the album at GodCity Studios (TORCHE, KVELERTAK, HIGH ON FIRE) and the mastering was done by Alan Douches (BARONESS, BLACK TUSK, MOTÖRHEAD). Lean back, crank up and sacrifice to the gods of stoner rock with this mighty "Oblation".

MARS RED SKY sign to Listenable Records; new album will be released this Spring!

France’s stoner rock emblematic trio MARS RED SKY just inked a deal with European record label Listenable Records, on which the band will release its brand new full-length as well as a 7’’ EP, both set for release this spring.

Considered as one of the greats of the European stoner rock scene, France based MARS RED SKY have gained international recognition thanks to a unique sound imprint based on thick infectious grooves and melodic aerial guitar riffs. This is truly a one of a kind experience, wrapped up by Julien Pras’ ethereal vocals, Matgaz’ powerful rhythms and Jimmy Kinast’s pachydermic bass lines. Somewhere between doom metal and 70’s psyche pop, the Mars Red Sound intrigues to begin with, after which it irremediably attracts the masses to celebrate this cosmic ritual of solar burning fuzz and reverberated atmospheres.

Driven by the huge success of their eponymous debut record, which was recorded in Spain’s mystic Bardenas desert and released in 2011, the Bordelais were quickly invited to play on the largest European stages with Kyuss Lives!, Dinosaur Jr, Sleep, and popular festivals such as Eurockéennes de Belfort (Fr), Roadburn (NL), London and Berlin Desertfest, Sziget Festival (Hun), SXSW (USA), leading them to play in more than 20 countries.

MINDWARP: Self-titled EP of instrumental Psych/Stonerrock band from Italy will be released in February

MINDWARP was born in 2012 in the wasteland of Brindisi, from the ashes of stoner and doom project, Southern Cult. The musical understanding of the trio and the desire to experiment with genres brought the band in search of a sound totally free from the rigors of any kind or limits. The band's sound is varied, with riffs and sounds that come from the desert rock, from acid blues, progressive and funk in an attempt to blend as much as possible the different musical influences of each component.
