Devouter Records are pleased to release the first track ‘Cystine Knot’ taken from TELEPATHY’s debut album "12 Areas" out on May 5th.



Eschewing genre guidelines and traditional song structures whilst blending elements of Progressive Sludge and Post-Metal, TELEPATHY have been causing a stir on the UK and European underground circuit since 2011.

The new album from progressive sludge behemoths TELEPATHY will be arriving on "insert release date" 2014 on UK based label Devouter Records. Available on 12" LP, CD, Digital & through Bandcamp, the album sees TELEPATHY expanding on their all compassing, technically proficient sludge/ post-metal sound whilst adding elements of noise, ambient and drone to their already crushing sonic palette.

Beginning with the slow and uneasy fall into unconsciousness, the record explores the subject of lucid dreaming and dream phenomena, charting the progression of a lucid dream and the many sleep states of the human mind involved in the experience.

CULTURA TRES: New album details and European tour dates

The Venezuelan psychedelic sludge act CULTURA TRES will release their new album entitled “Rezando Al Miedo” on May 15^th 2013. The cover artwork for the band’s third full-length is taken from the painting “Day of Judgment” by the remarkably talented artist Damian Michaels.

"The music expresses lives of slavery, religious mania and negative influences from South America. ... Some sludge, thrash and rock solos on offere here. Maybe SEPULTURA would be the same if they had found sludge?" - Doom Metal Front

The eight songs orchestrate to the detail the emotions of every word sang, yet this isn't a record that comes to tell a full story. Instrumental parts often let the thoughts of the listener ask their own questions, give their own answers, explore their own fears.....

The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Alejandro Londono and recorded in CULTURA TRES studios by Juan De Ferrari and Alejandro Londono. ”Rezando Al Miedo”, will be released on CD in UK by Devouter Records (http://www.devouterrecords.co.uk) and in South America by the Argentinean label Cumpa Records. The digital version of the record will be available on the same date as well.

The Harrowing of the North – The Lowdown

WIHT are a Leeds-based trio who started out in March 2009 and whose epic, instrumental style straddles a spectrum of all things riff laden, fuzzed out, epic and psychedelic. WIHT’s first full album The Harrowing of The North is a two song, 33-minute concept piece taking influence thematically, from the subjugation of the North of England by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it tells the troubled history of Doomsday-era Yorkshire. Track 1 ‘The Harrowing of The North’, contains 8 movements which follow the raids from their beginnings in 1069- when the King massacred Yorkshire’s people and destroyed the land ensuring it held no economic or cultural worth and remained subservient under his rule- to his remorseful deathbed nearly 20 years later. The second track is dedicated to outspoken chronicler ‘Orderic Vitalis’ who, though loyal to his king, was outraged at his cruelty and condemned him in his writings.

The band have played across the UK, supporting Brant Bjork and the Bros, Yob, Corrosion of Conformity, Humanfly, Khuda, Dopefight, A Forest of Stars and Conan.

Wiht called in Quits in March 2012, bowing out at the mighty Desertfest, playing alongside Corrosion of Conformity, Orange Goblin, Ancestors and Black Cobra to name a few. But the story was not finished, oh no. Indeed…Wiht had one song left, in steps Devouter Records, to release ‘The Harrowing of the North’ with the added, unrecorded track ‘End of the Reign’ and booooooom…..the rest is history.
