MOURNING BELOVETH have released their 1st official music video

Here's the 1st official music video of the Irish Doom/Death Metal Band MOURNING BELOVETH, featuring the track "Theories Of Old Bones" from their album "Formless", which is the band's greatest release so far.

To make a music video seems quite easy at todays times, but there was a serious problem about this song, which clocks in at 16 minutes length. Usual for an epic band like MOURNING BELOVETH but fairly unusual for a music video. Here's what Darren, singer of the band, has to say about this great video and song:

"It wasn't going to be an easy task to shoot a video for one of our songs, in the main due to their length. The story was already there in the lyrics of the song it was a matter of putting visuals to it. The lyrics ask questions on our existence, are we just here to pass time or to use it, is it a mere heavy existence we go through each day counting the days to our death or is there a purpose to all this...or do we have a choice? I read somewhere about christians in the old days who carried a pouch made of newborn lambskin around their necks to carry the nails for their coffin upon their death and it struck a chord of how fatalistic some people are. The video itself is perhaps a journey through a half dream, a moment in the pit of existence where life has drifted away to some far off point inside leaving the body to automatic ruin. It is about time slowly gnawing at the entrails and the shadow of a silent death forever lurking through the ether." - Darren Moore, MOURNING BELOVETH

Another gloomy RITES have risen, the 2nd album of the Irish band is available

RITES from Galway, Ireland, have released their second full-length album early November. "II" serves four amazingly heavy and downtuned, at times calm and melancholic hymns of solitude and despair, always ready to explode like a volcano, spitting out fuzzed out riff monoliths and razor-sharp solos, which seem to come directly from earth's core. Lava is flowing, buildings are bursting, people running for their lifes. If you like CONAN you will definitely love RITES. Great, stuff!

"Of Prophecy And Alchemy" serves colossal heavily distorted sound, simply WAR IRON!!!

Born from the ashes of Belfast Stoner/Sludge band The Naut it was always the intention of WAR IRON to play pulverizing heavy music. The line-up has two bass players and no guitarists. Each of the two instruments have their own individual tone and characteristics which come together to create one colossal heavily distorted sound. Add to the basses pounding drums and caustic vocals and you have WAR IRON.

Along the way WAR IRON have played with Eyehategod, Napalm Death, Procession, GBH, Wormrot, Conan, Black Magician and a raft of other metal/punk/crust/grind/doom bands. War Iron have played Ireland, Scotland and England to date. Festival appearances at Dublin Doom Days fest 2012 and Desertfest, London 2013 brought their unique brand of doom/sludge to wider audiences. Return trips to London, Scotland and a venture into mainland Europe are all pencilled in for 2014.

Line-up:

Baggy – Vocals / Ross – Bass / Dave – Bass / Marty – Drums

NOMADIC RITUALS: Sludge annihilators from Belfast (IRE) will be releasing debut full-length on September 14th

NOMADIC RITUALS is a Sludge/Doom band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Formed in July 2012 the 3-piece consists of Craig Carson (bass/vocals/synth), Peter Hunter (Guitar) and Mark Smyth (Drums).

The demo, available at the band’s Bandcamp page, serving down toned tunes that are pretty much reminiscent of the early 90s tape recordings that we loved so much back in the days - loud, distorted and droning. Doesn’t matter whether it’s done intentionally or due to cheap equipment. It's nasty and blows the eardrum, slowly but surely! But...

NOMADIC RITUALS will be releasing their first full-length album "Holy Giants" on the 14th September 2013. This will be a 5-track album at just over 45 minutes in length. Recorded at the end of March this year by Niall Doran at Start Together Studios and mastered by James Plotkin.

We are curious!!!

MU CEPHEI: Listen to the demo of this heavy pounding slow psych outfit from Ireland

Formed in Maynooth during the great depression of 2010 these three musicians have only one thing in mind, creating crushingly slow, heavy riffs at ridiculous volumes through insane amounts of amplification for their own sick pleasure.

Influences: the universe, fuzz pedals, destroyed amps, burst eardrums, memory loss and ... THE RIFF!
