French stoner rockers are ready to hit the road of the clubs and festivals to present their new album "Stranded In Arcadia", due out this spring on Listenable Records.

After a critically acclaimed first album and hundreds of gigs across Europe and America, France's emblematic stoner rock trio MARS RED SKY is now taking its music to a brand new level with their long-awaited second full-length "Stranded In Arcadia". Heavier than ever, the band formed by Julien Pras, Jimmy Kinast and Mathieu Gazeau will take you further into its very own world of fuzz and psychedelia, a journey to a wondrous imaginary place called Arcadia...

MARS RED SKY have recently been announced to play a handful of clubs and festivals in Europe, including heavy metal finests Hellfest in France and Stoned From The Underground in Germany. The band will perform a classic live set alongside Russian rockers The Grand Astoria, as well as an experimental video and sound creation featuring Julia Al Abed.

MOS GENERATOR formed during the winter of 2000 in Port Orchard, Washington from the ashes of a ten year off & on collaboration between it's three members, all of which are long time veterans of road & studio. The need to strip down to the basics of hard rock was apparent from the start and continues to be the foundation for all the bands recent material. MOS GENERATOR have released 5 studio albums, a retrospective album, and a live album on such labels as Roadburn, Small Stone, Ripple, Nasoni, and Lay Bare. Touring has been just as important to the profile of the band as making records has. Over the years MOS GENERATOR has shared the stage with many great heavy rock bands and in March of 2013 they did a 26 date European tour with SAINT VITUS, opening up a whole new fan base to the MOS GENERATOR sound. On stage the band defines the word "chemistry". Revolving their sound around swagger and groove while improvising just enough to keep the songs feeling fresh from night to night...sometimes with interesting results.

The new material is stretching the core sound of the band into some new and interesting directions. "We always try and push the heavy rock sound into other areas. MARS RED SKY reveal artwork and video for new album "Stranded In Arcadia"

French stoner rock legends MARS RED SKY just unveiled the artwork of their new album "Stranded In Arcadia" (out this spring on Listenable Records), as well as its first official video "Arcadia".

After a critically acclaimed first album "Mars Red Sky" (2011) and hundreds of gigs across Europe and America, France's emblematic stoner rock trio MARS RED SKY is now taking its music to a brand new level with their long-awaited second full-length "Stranded In Arcadia". Heavier than ever, the band (formed by Julien Pras, Jimmy Kinast and Mathieu Gazeau) will take you further into its very own world of fuzz and psychedelia, a journey to a wondrous imaginary place called Arcadia...

MARS RED SKY comments: "The story about our new record is actually some sort of happy accident. While we were supposed to record at Harper Hug’s Thunder Underground Studio in Palm Springs between our South and North American tours, an issue with US customs forced us to stay in Rio de Janeiro. Our Brazilian booker Felipe Toscano introduced us to Gabriel "Bill" Zander, who instantly invited us to record at his Superfuzz studio. We locked ourselves in during four days and recorded the eight tracks of "Stranded In Arcadia". We felt like we were stuck, like stranded in a wonderful place with a lot of amazing people. The title of the record sums up this paradox: a trial that finally led us to a great experience and the making of a record which would have probably been much more different, if things happened like planned."

Jimmy Kinast adds: "The atmosphere was so spontaneous and chilled-out in the studio that we even ended jamming on the end of this track called "The Light Behind" until there was no tape left… The song "Beyond The Light" was born.

Regarding the evolution of our sound, there’s no doubt that when our drummer Matgaz joined the band, he brought a heavier and more metal touch. This feeling is pretty palpable on such tracks as "Beyond The Light", for example. Now we can’t wait to go on the road and perform our new record live!"
