The Irish band CASTERO participated on the DMF compilation "Isles Of Doom" some time ago. Now they are back on air and going to release their new full-length, which is called "Revolutions", on the 4th of July. It serves seven tracks of rolling Stoner and Southern Rock. BLACK TUSK announce European Tour dates

BLACK TUSK have confirmed that they will return to Europe this autumn to tour on the back of their brand new EP Tend No Wounds. The trio from Savannah, Georgia will be supported on all dates by Fight Amp. The band commented:

"Black Tusk is excited to be returning to Europe and the UK to support our new EP Tend No Wounds. This will be our first time extensively touring the UK as well and we are excited to see new cities show up on the routing that aren't usually there. LORD DYING come from Portland, Oregon, a place over abundant with purveyors of the heavy riff. A region where the inhabitants are plagued with nerve and joint damage due to lack of sunlight. In a time where everyone is trying to out-sludge or out-doom each other LORD DYING gives something less than a fuck. They are a metal band with members of Black Elk, Portals, Le Force, and Damn Your Eyes, who in their short, one year's time as a band have shared the stage with Down, Unsane, Yob, Valient Thorr, Black Cobra and many others.

DER_WARRIOR: South Of Mainstream festival's cult opening act out on vinyl in June 2013

Die Band:
DER_WARRIOR haben sich im Jahr 2010 nicht gegründet, um beim South of Mainstream-Festival zu SPIELEN, sondern um von Beginn an als Besucher dabei sein zu können. Zur Erlangung des dafür notwendigen Sonderurlaubs erklärten sie sich kurzerhand zur Band, schrieben einen Song und führten diesen mit dem spontan vor Ort gecasteten Drummer Etienne Gaillochet (WE INSIST!, ZARBOTH) auf.

Eineinhalb Jahre später warf Kanzler und SoM-Organisator Andreas Kohl beim gemütlichen Plausch an seinem Plattenstand auf dem Roadburn Festival folgende Frage in den Raum: "Und - ist DER_WARRIOR dieses Jahr wieder mit dabei?"

Die Band - mittlerweile zu einem festen Trio mit ein paar Demosongs sowie dem Beitrag "Die Punks von Ehrenfeld" auf "A Tribute to Japanische Kampfhörspiele" (unundeux) gewachsen - nahm dieses Angebot gerne an. Die Zeit bis zum SoM 2012 nutzte sie zur Vollendung ihrer seit 2010 geplanten Song-Trilogie und zur Aufnahme eines Albums in Eigenregie. Für das Gitarrensolo bei "Helios" konnte wie schon beim Demo wieder Brian Daniloski (DARSOMBRA, Ex-MEATJACK, Ex-KEELHAUL, Ex-TREPHINE, Ex-WINO WEINRICH'S PREMONITION 13) gewonnen werden, und auch auf dem South of Mainstream-Festival 2012 stand er dafür mit ihnen gemeinsam auf der Bühne.

Das Album:
DER_WARRIOR haben die Zeit auf ihrer Seite. "Drängt uns nicht", scheinen sie zu sagen. Stattdessen sagen sie aber gar nichts, sondern spielen instrumental. Erst stumpf und monoton ("Field of Honour"), dann laaaaaangsam an Fahrt gewinnend ("Helios") und schließlich fast schon verspielt ("iii") präsentieren sie mit "ehrenfeld³" die Trilogie rund um den immer hipper werdenden Kölner Stadtteil, in dem aber mittlerweile (uncoolerweise) nur noch einer von ihnen wohnt.
Bei unundeux sind sie zwar ein musikalischer Fremdkörper, aber dennoch oder vielleicht sogar deswegen äußerst herzlich willkommen geheißen worden.

Wie es sich für Doom gehört, gibt es das von Jacob Bredahl (THE KANDIDATE, LAST MILE, Ex-HATESPHERE) gemasterte Album in physischer Form nur auf Vinyl, aber dem Zeitgeist folgend ist es darüber hinaus natürlich auch in verschiedenen digitalen Formaten zu haben.
