In diesem Fall handelt es sich um eine Deluxe-Reissue des Debüts von MOON CURSE aus Milwaukee, welches sechs Songs lang beweist, dass es in der Schnittmenge aus SABBATH- und ZEPPELIN-Riffing sowie einer gediegenen Portion Fuzz und Stoner-Groove noch einiges zu sagen gibt, vor allem, wenn das Ergebnis derartig tief in den Analen der heavy Rockmusik gräbt und die richtigen Zutaten nicht nur findet, sondern zu eingängigen und kurzweiligen Kompositionen zusammenfügt. Allen ORCHID-, KADAVAR- und klanggenössischen Retro-/Doom-Fans sei dieses Album dringend ans Herz gelegt. Hier geht's allerdings sehr gemütlich und erdig zur Sache, zuweilen auch offensiv WINDHANDig und CATHEDRALisch - das gefällt! Hört euch unbedingt den Vinyl-Only-Track "Seminary Woods" an! BRAIN PYRAMID - "Chasma Hideout" | Stoner/Psychedelic Rock | 8,5/10

Wer auf die Hippie-Phasen der heiligen CATHEDRAL steht, auf die vergrasten Tieftöne von ELECTRIC WIZARD und fuzzigen 70er-Prog-Rock aus Italien abfährt, wird "Chasma Hideout", das neue Album von der Band BRAIN PYRAMID, lieben.
Abwechslung, auch in Speed-technischer Hinsicht, ist auf dem Release Programm. Mein persönlicher Lieblingssong ist "Lucifer" - antesten und bitte einen angemessenen Preis für die kurzweilige Album-Gesamtleistung auf der Bandcamp-Seite von Acid Cosmonaut Records investieren! Heavy Zeug!

BLUES PILLS: Starten Europatour in Leipzig | European Tour kicked off in Leipzig

Der Auftakt zur Europatournee der schwedischen Band BLUES PILLS fand in den unterirdischen Gewölben der bereits zwei Wochen vor dem Konzert ausverkauften Moritzbastei statt. Genauso wenig verwunderte es, dass die Antwort auf die "Matrix"-Gewissensfrage gestern Abend nicht "Rot!" sondern "Blues!" lautete, denn unter die jugendlichen Fans der Nuclear Blast-Zöglinge hatten sich viele Bluesrock-Freunde der ersten Stunde gemischt, die der Gruppe um die Halbbrüder Zack Anderson (Bass) und Cory Berry (Schlagzeug) mit ihrer Anwesenheit den "Approved"-Stempel verpassten.

"Die spielen die Musik ihrer Eltern!", meinte mein Publikumsnachbar und nickte anerkennend im Takt der Musik, die von zwei nicht zu verleugnenden Tatsachen bestimmt wurde, der spielerischen Qualität von Jung-Gitarrist Dorian Sorriaux und dem Charisma von Sängerin Elin Larsson, die nicht nur optisch die wilden 70er Jahre auf die Bühne zurück holte, sondern und zuallererst mit ihrer ausdrucksstarken Soul-Stimme fesselte. In der heilen, psychedelischen Zeitschleife der Songs vom Debütalbum gefangen, verlangte das Publikum am Ende des Auftritts nach noch mehr Blues-Pillen.

Das Vorprogramm gestalteten die Label-Kollegen THE VINTAGE CARAVAN, welche bereits seit 2006 in Island aktiv sind. Die Band lieferte eine energiegeladene Reise durch die Psychedelic-, Blues- und 70s-Rock-Ära ab. "Voyage", das aktuelle Release, kommt angenehm Riff-lastig und fuzzig daher - eine authentische Gitarrensound-Retrospektive, die bereits in jungen Jahren mit dem Bandnamen festgelegt wurde.

Es wird gemunkelt, dass in Zukunft das eine oder andere musikalisch ähnlich gelagerte Konzert in der schönen Moritzbastei stattfinden wird. Immerhin wurden die Gewölbe unter der Leipziger Innenstadt in den 70er Jahren von studentischen Händen aus dem historischen Boden ausgegraben. Passender geht es wohl kaum. (SM)

GRIFTER: Nach drei Jahren zurück mit neuem Album | Back with new album after three years

Drei Jahre nach dem erfolgreichen, selbstbetitelten Debütalbum auf Ripple Music - welches tolle Kritiken einheimste und in den Jahres-Bestenlisten namhafter Seiten wie The Obelisk, The Soda Shop, Chybucca Sounds, Heavy Planet und vielen mehr auftauchte - veröffentlichen GRIFTER 2014 mit "The Return Of The Bearded Brethren" ihr zweites Werk, natürlich auf Ripple Music.

Im Gegensatz zum Erstling, dessen Titel einen Überblick über das Bandschaffen bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt vermitteln, verfolgte man beim Songwriting für das neue Album ein klares Ziel, nämlich ein Killeralbum abzuliefern, das vom Anfang bis zum Ende kräftig reinhaut und jeder Song für sich Hintern tritt.

"The Return Of The Bearded Brethren" setzt da an, wo das Debüt aufhörte und baut auf dem hochwertigen Songwriting und dem Instrumentenspiel auf, welches von Rich Robinsons mit einer druckvollen Produktion veredelt wurde. Das Album erzählt Geschichten über Guiness, 70s-Sexsymbole, Trinkunfälle, religiöse Torheiten und mehr. Es erscheint am 11. August in Großbritannien und am 14. August im restlichen Europa. Macht euch auch auf Live-Aufritte von GRIFTER auf den Inseln und vielleicht sogar in den USA gefasst.

It’s been nearly three years since Grifter’s self-titled debut album was released on Ripple Music in 2011. That album was a critical success garnering impressive reviews and hitting the year-end best-of lists on such notable sites as The Obelisk, The Soda Shop, Chybucca Sounds, Heavy Planet and plenty more. Grifter supported the release with a UK tour as special guests to Orange Goblin and slots at various festivals such as the inaugural Desertfest London and Freak Valley Festival in 2012 and in 2013 at Britain’s prestigious Bloodstock Festival and Hard Rock Hell.

It’s 2014 and Grifter are set to release their second album "The Return Of The Bearded Brethren" once again through Ripple Music. Whereas the first album was a bunch of tracks the band had spanning their career up to that point the new album with written with one aim in mind: to write a killer album that would hit hard from start to finish yet contained songs that would kick arse in their own right. "The Return Of The Bearded Brethren" picks up where the debut left off but builds in every way from the quality of the song writing and playing boasting a fat production courtesy of Rich Robinson.

The album, which will include many tales of Guinness, '70s sex symbols, drinking regrets, religious folly and more, is slotted to be released on August 11 in the UK and will be coming out in Europe on August 14 of 2014. Additionally, look for Grifter live across the UK and maybe even the US.

Cult Acid Fuzz Rockers SPACE PROBE TAURUS Sign Worldwide Deal With Ripple Music!

New album "Mondo Satan" to be released in summer 2014!

RIPPLE MUSIC is proud to announce the signing of acclaimed, hard-hitting acid biker heavy rockers, SPACE PROBE TAURUS to their ever-expanding roster!

Space Probe Taurus has been around in one form or another since 1992, but it wasn't until a name change and shortening of the songs in 1997 that the band settled down into doing what they still do today: preaching the gospel of dirty garage rock Swedish style. Their music has been called Biker Movie Acid Fuzz and that sums it up as well as anything we could say!

Since the release of the Blue Cheer tribute CD “Blue Explosion”, by Black Widow Records, the band has been part of many compilations. And the year after saw the release of their first own record, the “Insect City” EP on Game Two/Slowdive Records. The band has also been involved deeply in the American low budget movie scene, first providing a song for the “I Am Vengeance” soundtrack (released by Meteor City Records in 2001), then having 12 songs in the movie “Actress Apocalypse”. Upcoming in 2014 is the movie “Franklin” which will include yet another song (a demo version of the song “Mondo Satan”).

In 2008 it was time for the first album, a self-titled debut released by the Belgian label Buzzville Records, which got outstanding reviews from all over the world.

Since the release of the album the band has kept writing new material, played live and kept recording new demos. In 2012 the general feeling was that a new album needed to be done, and after a long process of deciding on the songs the band started to record, what would become the album “Mondo Satan”, scheduled to be released on Ripple Music in summer 2014!

Recharged Italian label Minotauro Records has announced the upcoming release of "The Last Neanderthal" from Portland, ME’s Heavy Metal Doom Rockers OGRE on February 21 in Europe and March 8 in North America. The band’s fourth full-length release continues OGRE’s splendid combination of classic proto-metal (BLACK SABBATH, BUDGIE, DUST), a touch of 70s prog rock (most notably RUSH), and a heaping dose of vintage doom (SAINT VITUS, PENTAGRAM). The Last Neanderthaleven includes a cover of “Soulless Woman” by a different OGRE, a 70s bar band from the Pacific Northwest.

BIO:
OGRE formed in 1999 when Ed Cunningham (bass/vocals) joined forces with Ross Markonish (guitar) and Will Broadbent (drums), who had been playing together in several bands in the Portland, Maine music scene. Together, Ed, Ross, and Will quickly wrote and recorded a 4-track demo cassette that garnered high praise in the underground doom metal and stoner-rock community. In 2003, the band self-released its first full length, Dawn of the Proto-Man, to critical acclaim. The disc created enough buzz to get noticed by Japan's Leafhound Records, who put out the band's second and third albums, Seven Hells in 2006 and Plague of the Planet in 2008, the latter album being reissued by Shadow Kingdom Records (US) in 2009. After a decade of playing shows up and down the East Coast as well abroad (Japan Tour with Church of Misery and Blood Farmers in 2008), OGRE returned to its cave in September 2009. Coaxed out of hibernation after several years, the band played a handful of local shows and began writing new material that would eventually comprise its fourth album, The Last Neanderthal, to be released by Minotauro Records (Italy) in March 2014. As one of the first currently active bands to be signed to the newly-recharged Minotauro, OGRE is ready to stampede into the next phase of its career.

Mit lediglich einer 7" bereits Storys in den führenden europäischen Magazinen einzusacken, ist eine Glanzleistung, zumal hier jegliches "Hype!"-Geschrei schon nach wenigen Sekunden im Keim erstickt wird. THE OATH worshippen dermaßen authentisch das Geilste an 70er- und 80er-Metal, dass einem umgehend Freudentränen in die Augen schießen.

Die schwedisch/deutsche Collabo von Gitarristin Linnea Olsson und Sängerin Johanna Sadonis versprüht auf "The Oath" pure Magie. Leidenschaft und Energie fusionieren zu einem dunklen Gesamtkunstwerk, das voller Elan im Fundus des Heavy Rock, in Punk und Metal wildert und von Black Sabbath über Trouble und Angel Witch bis hin zu den Stooges, Mercyful Fate und Danzig diverse geschmackssichere Einflüsse vereint und zu einem neuen Ganzen veredelt.

To master the dark and wring compelling creativity from its densest shadows requires vision, belief and, perhaps most importantly, a dash of synchronicity. These are all qualities that ooze from every pore of the debut album by The Oath. A band forged around the fizzing, feral chemistry between Swedish guitarist Linnea Olsson and German vocalist Johanna Sadonis, The Oath represent the wild magic that erupts when two blazing souls collide and fate is sent veering off course by sheer strength of the human will. This is heavy metal at its most mercurial and intuitive.

“I had grown tired with the metal scene in Stockholm, and I wanted to experience something new and get out of my comfort zone,” Linnea Olson recalls. “This resulted in me going to Berlin, a city where I had no friends, and just exploring everything that makes it so magical… the creative energy, the sense of freedom, and the notoriously dark and debauched nightlife. I played my guitar as usual at home, and riffs started to pile up. By the time summer came, I felt the time was right to start a new band. My best friend Henke put me in touch with Johanna. On her end, she had been looking for a guitarist for a band that she wanted to call The Oath. We had an instant connection. And we looked almost identical.”

Having found each other and discovered that their obsessions, desires and musical urges were utterly compatible and swiftly and irrevocably interwoven, Linnea and Johanna set about devising an artistic masterplan. The results of that plan are now primed to emerge, fully-formed and thrumming with primal energy and pristine passion, in the shape of The Oath: a nine-song clarion call that simultaneously recalls the hallowed greats of heavy rock, punk and metal – from Sabbath, Trouble and Angel Witch through to the Stooges and Poison Idea, and further to Mercyful Fate and Danzig – while revelling in new ways to express the spirit of those revered archetypes. Recorded in ten days at Studio Cobra in Stockholm with producer Konie Ehrencrona at the controls and the raging rhythm section of Simon Bouteloup (bass, Kadavar/ex-Aqua Nebula Oscillator) and Andrew Prestidge (Angel Witch/Winters) underpinning Linnea and Johanna’s otherworldly hymns to the black, The Oath is a triumph for soul and sonic ceremony, with conviction and integrity bursting from every artfully-crafted riff and ethereal melodic motif.

“We had a die-hard dedication right from the beginning – if not, what’s the point?” states Linnea. “As for the master plan, there was none. If things fall into place naturally, you don’t need one. We felt that this was our shot, and we needed to go for it. We wanted this album to be primitive and minimalistic in the sense that the sound is fairly raw, and we kept overdubs to a minimal – most of what you hear on the album are live takes. But we also wanted to bring out the melody and richness that is within the songs. And these are all strong songs, which is very important to us.”

Veering from the strident grooves and shimmering menace of opener All Must Die to the breakneck, Luciferian clatter of Black Rainbow and on to the spine-tingling grandeur and grime of epic closer Psalm 7, The Oath is anything but just another addition to the modern pseudo-occult rock canon. Instead, it is an extraordinary glimpse into its creators’ overpowering charisma and chemistry and a thrillingly, hyper-nourishing dose of authentic, 21st century heavy metal sorcery.

“This album represents Johanna and me and our dedication to our music,” Linnea avows. “Everything about this band is about me and her – our relationship to each other, our differences as people and musicians, and the unity that we are in The Oath. She possesses strengths that I lack and the other way around. Musically, my riffs are the dirt and her vocals, the diamonds. I have a friend who cleverly put that the world is made up by two kinds of people: the werewolves and the vampires. By that standard, I am a werewolf and Johanna is a vampire. You can interpret that as you like.”

And now, this new ritual begins. The Oath has been sworn, the dice have been thrown. All that remains is the propagation of the divine but unholy art that these sisters-in-sound have wrenched from the depths of their harmonised psyches. The future belongs to those who believe…

“There are a lot of hopes, plans and ambitions,” Linnea concludes. “But what’s even more important is that there is only now and that now isforever.”

POOBAH: Ripple Music veröffentlicht Neuauflage des Klassikers "U.S.Rock"! Re-issue of classic "U.S.Rock" album on Ripple Music

10 Alben und 30 Jahre später, mischen POOBAH noch immer kräftig mit und bringen bis heute ihren unverkennbaren Sound unter das Heavy Rock-Volk.

Jetzt soll das zweite Album "U.S. Rock" der legendären Heavy Psych Band, ursprünglich 1976 erschienen, in Neu-Auflage über das US Label Ripple Music veröffentlicht werden! Ten guitar powered studio albums and thirty years later, POOBAH is still at it, playing his distinctive brand of heavy rock to clubs filled with fans, old and new.

"U.S. Rock", the second release from the mighty Poobah (originally released in 1976) will be re-issued by Ripple Music. The album includes 10 tracks in the original running order, remastered by T. Dallas Reed at HeavyHead Studios, and the CD edition features 4 bonus tracks including a blistering live rendition of “Steamroller”! It is the first time that this album will see the light of day in almost forty years.

Jim Gustafson, the Grand Poobah himself, delivers a resounding set of six-string heroics that should have seen him sitting alongside the greats of the time, and certainly shows why he is the wizard of heavy psych!

This hotly anticipated re-issue of Poobah's U.S. Rock, which will be available on CD and Vinyl, will be out in the UK on February 10th, and will hit the European stores on February 14th of 2014!

Bad Omen Records ist ein neues britisches Heavy-Rock-Label, das von einem alten Bekannten geführt wird. Will Palmer kennen viele von Euch noch als einen der Köpfe hinter Rise Above Records und natürlich von den famosen Angel Witch. Zu den ersten Signings gehört die Psychedelic Rock-Kultband THE TOWER aus Schweden. Die Kerle spielen bösen Boogie und zeitlosen Blues Rock mit einer mystischen Kante. Ein pumpender Groove trifft auf hypnotische Riffs und episch-prophetische Texte. Man hört Sixties-West-Coast-Rock genauso raus wie Proto-Doom der Siebziger. "It was back in 1938 that the brothers Erik and August and their friend Viktor migrated south. They left the small village in the northern forests where they grew up for the big city and the university, to study the science of harvesting the earth. On the fields beside the burial mounds in old Uppsala they met Tommie, a Soviet refugee. He showed them his sole possession, a blues vinyl from 5300 BC, suspecting that it would fit their melancholy northern souls. The four sat down in a barn and played a blues jam which lasted until 1945, when the war ended and the post-apocalyptic nuclear winter began…"

So begins the extraordinary tale of Swedish 'bad luck boogie' combo THE TOWER, whose cryptic, swinging timewarp of a debut LP is now released via London's Bad Omen Records. The offbeat freakbeat and phantasmagorical psych-blues of Hic Abundant Leones exude an ageless charm and resounding singularity, striking eerie, dreamlike atmospheres that seemingly confirm THE TOWER's eccentric parallel-universe narrative. Sorting facts from the fantasy of the band's complex mythology proves onerous; the quartet bonded during "long, all-night rehearsals in an old vicarage outside of Uppsala" and "began as some kind of personal quest for us but once we realised that we had a gospel we started preaching it. It is not something new. It is as ancient as the Sumerian blues records played by the Dionysos cults of the Postapocalyptic Era. Moreover, there have always been prophets of this gospel: wrayed Indians, electric shamans, crazy horses, black skinheads, exhumed singers, diddlying sheriffs, mean lick hookers, third eye girls, many a stooge, all-man brothers, Birmingham attendants of the Sabbath, and many, many more."

Herculean research reveals that drummer Tommie's versatile musical history includes stints in Nocturnal Rites, Therion, Saturnalia Temple and ultra-cult early-90s Swedish death metallers Ligament, and that his occult survey Mörk Magi was published by Ouroboros Produktion in 2001. Uniquely, guitarist August is also an esteemed scribe of esoteric texts, recently publishing Tartaros: On The Orphic And Pythagorean Underworld, And The Pythagorean Pentagram on Three Hands Press. Further details prove hard to trace, but the foursome highlight the collaborative vitality that results from their isolated chemistry: "We're four colourful individuals that all actively contribute creatively. Each of the apostles tell it their own way. The vibe was immediate. We sounded like ourselves right away, probably because we were jamming a lot in the beginning, and jamming automatically emphasises the things you're good at."

According to the band's self-penned timeline, in 1945 they withdrew to their eponymous Tower:

"The four remained in solitude throughout the 50's, an isolation interspersed only by a Zenith tube radio which brought them pop cultural news-pieces aired by American radio stations. They tried to adapt the rockabilly tunes they heard into their own music but were mostly unsuccessful (their innate sense of rhythm being too crooked)."

Allegedly splitting in the 70s, they returned to the Tower in 1983, where they remained until 2012 - "when rumours of the end of the world enticed them to leave". They recorded a demo (soon pressed to 12" by Dybbuk Records) before cutting this mystical long-player. "The days in the studio were smooth. The loveable Joona Hassinen, who we recorded with, made us feel very comfortable, as if we were rehearsing in our 'tower room'."

And what is the significance of that peculiar title? "We saw it written on an ancient map of the (then known) world. It literally means 'here are lions in abundance' and was used by the cartographer to designate a uncivilised, wild and dangerous territory. When applied to Northern Scandinavia it becomes very weird, because there are no lions here, but this only furthers the poetry by making the lions mythical. The record is such a territory. So is the place where we rehearse. And stages we play on, and the vistas of our minds, the future and the past; the unknowns we want to explore and yet, paradoxically, also the regions where we feel the most at home."

Crusher Records re-releasing DEAD MAN`s Debutalbum

Crusher Records is re-releasing DEAD MAN’s debut, and long time out of print, album as three different and limited vinyl versions: solid black (300), solid gold (100) and crystal clear (100) vinyl.

DEAD MAN is a mix of 70’s heavy rock, folk rock and a big portion of psychedelia. Their self-titled debut was recorded in 2005 at Svenska Grammofon Studion in Göteborg, Sweden, and released on February 25th, 2006. The album contains seven tracks, including the two hit songs Highway and Goin’ Over The Hill.

DEAD MAN was formed in 2003, Örebro, Sweden, and started off as a purely experimental band. In September 2004 they released their first record, the 7-inch single Ship Ahoy! / Thousand Mile Stare, on Crusher Records. In February 2006 the band released their debut album "Dead Man". The album release was followed up by tours in Europe. In March 2008 they released their second album, Euphoria, and for the first time the band crossed the ocean over to America for a few weeks of touring and got featured in magazines like SPIN, Brooklyn Vegan and Time Out New York to only name a few.

This re-release will be out on January 24, 2014.

MANTHRA DEI: 70s-based Progressive/Psychedelic Rock from Italy out on Acid Cosmonaut Records

More than a band, MANTHRA DEI are a bunch of friends in love with lysergic deserts and forged by nights spent listening cassettes of teenage idols. Spontaneous, raw and mind-tripped tunes get pierced together by their bipolar personalities and become straight as headbanging on a kick-ass riff.

Michele, Paolo and Brano started back in 2009 as an instrumental power-trio that brought them to self-produce an EP with two log trips for almost 40 minutes of improvisations. Soon after, Maestro Paolo T. (yes, a real Maestro) joined them to start a long list of live-shows with Karma to Burn, Yawning Man, Vibravoid among many others up to a memorable Pietrasonica Festival in 2011.

After that the band decided to fix their jams into an album and consequently to get closed in a rehearsal room for almost two years … at least up to 2013, when Nasoni Rec – Colour Haze, Machine, Siena Root anyone? – decided to cast on vinyl their recordings. CD edition was taken in charge by a young Italian label, Acid Cosmonauts, that spread the world with a limited edition of 300 copies of their first full-length.

BITE THE BULLET: "Be Like You" video premiere to promote the debut album of the Danish Heavy Rockers

Danish best hardrockin' trio BITE THE BULLET celebrate the release of their debut "Bite the bullet" with the premiere of the musicvideo to the song "Be like you".



The album is available as a high-qualitly, handnumbered edition in 3 different versions at Kozmik Artifactz' webshop.

The foundation stone for Bite The Bullet was laid for 15 years ago, when Paw and Christian met each other in a worn out youth club in Vejle. The two played together after following in a number of bands, at the same time as they individually played and guest performed a gem variety of Danish bands, including Coolsville, Cody, Magtens Korrido-rer, Jonas Breum, Hellraiser Ten and Thee Attacks.

When the boys last band, Highway Child, stopped in 2011, they de-cided to cut into the leg, bite it in themselves and start a band, just the two of them.

The result is Bite The Bullet: Pure, unadulterated, bluesy rock music with the heart in the right place. A lesson in playing pleasure, fuzzy and pure love for the music.

ANCIIENTS announce Roadburn 2014 Performance!

Vancouver's ANCIIENTS have announced an appearance as part of next year's Roadburn Festival. The band has been slated to play on Thursday, April 10th in Tilburg, NL. Ticket pre-sales for the Festival will be available on Oct. 1st, at the official Roadburn Festival website.

ANCIIENTS will join SEPULTURA on their U.S. tour in November. ANCIIENTS will join the SEPULTURA tour on November 8th, and continue through the remainder of dates. The tour will also see ANCIIENTS play alongside UNEARTH and KATAKLYSM. A new confirmed list of tour dates can be found below.

ANCIIENTS also recently announced a new North American tour alongside TESSERACT and SCALE THE SUMMIT. The "Altered State North America 2013" tour is scheduled to start on Thursday, October 10th, in Edmonton, AB and will run through the United States and Canada before ending on October 29th.

ANCIIENTS are touring in support of their debut album, 'Heart of Oak'. The critically-acclaimed record is streaming here, and available now across several formats. The band was recently showcased as the featured artist in the latest installment of "Converse x Decibel". A mini-documentary about how the vast woodlands  and epic mountain ranges of British Columbia influence the band's elaborate and progressive songs is streaming here.

THE MOVEMENTS: New Psychedelic Rock album, "Like Elephants 1", is being released on October 25th

THE MOVEMENTS, from Gothenburg, Sweden, has opened the gates to the great world of Psychedelic Rock. This fall they will release their new album, "Like Elephants 1".

"Like Elephants 1" is a very exciting project because, as the title suggests, it is the first disc of two ("Like Elephants 2" is scheduled for release in early 2014). Working out two albums into a unique whole has been innovative, challenging and inspiring for THE MOVEMENTS  What is special about these two albums is that they not only stand strong individually but also create a whole, a kind of continuity, together. With these two volumes THE MOVEMENTS takes courageous distance from today's fast-food consumption of songs pulled out of their context and instead dare to demand a greater commitment by the listener who, in return, gets to experience something special taking the time listening through the entire albums.

"LikeElephants 1" offers swirling psychedelia in "Great Deceiver", catchy rock riffs with "All The Lostand" at moments leaning towards the folk rock with "It Takes A Spark". The album consists of ten well-worked songs of high quality and has for the most part been recorded at Music A Matic in Gothenburg.

THE MOVEMENTS possess great stage- and songwriting skills and has over the years toured most European countries. THE MOVEMENTS'  upcoming album, "Like Elephants 1", is being released on October 25th and will be followed by gigs around Sweden and Europe.

MOTHERSHIP to tour with SCORPION CHILD & KADAVAR

The Dallas-based badasses in MOTHERSHIP are about to hit the road with a new wave of retro minded rockers - SCORPION CHILD and GYPSYHAWK - this Fall, and will weave their way across the U.S., also making their very first visit to Canada! It was recently announced that the trio were added as the support slot for the Scorpion Child and KADAVAR tour; which kicks off in Denver, CO with the Snowboard on the Block Festival on September 14th. Also added to the tour package is Wilson and Metal Blade recording artists, Gypsyhawk, with whom Mothership toured with earlier this Spring. This will mark the third tour that Mothership will embark on in 2013, however, this will be the first time that the boozing bruisers have ventured away from the western half on the U.S.

When asked about their thoughts on this latest road trip, Kyle Juett (vocalist/bassist) had this to say, "We could not be more stoked that our Scorpion Child brothers asked us to join them on what will be one of the top, if not, the best touring Rock & Roll shows taking place this Fall. Rock n' Roll history is rife with brothers working together to create their artistic vision. But rarely do we hear about a full-fledged family unit embarking down the treacherous path of a musical career. In the case of Texas based Mothership, the Brother Juett (Kyle on bass, younger brother Kelley on guitar) enlisted the aid of their father, John Juett, to help get the 'ship off the ground. Raised on a healthy dose of their father's 70's-era record collection, the brothers began crafting songs fueled on the raucous and raw good time vibe when music seemed to know no bounds. Lifting off the pad for the first time in 2010, the band began to gain momentum and notoriety with their unabashed live shows. Knowing that the service of the family patriarch was temporary, Father Juett actively helped his boys find his replacement, and in late 2011, enter the mighty Judge Smith to hammer away on the skins. In early 2012, Mothership entered Crystal Clear Studios with Wo Fat mastermind Kent Stump manning the boards and by mid-year, the band self-released their debut album. It was the combination of the 70's-era heavy rock fuzz and fury mixed with the blistering guitar solos of the NWOBHM-era that drew the bands attention to California-based Heavy Rock label, Ripple Music. In the waning months of 2012, after a successful year of traveling regionally throughout Texas and opening for national acts such as Prong, Red Fang, Gypsyhawk, Earthen Grave, and Lo-Pan, Mothership officially dubbed Ripple Music as its Home Port and began plotting a course for their first U.S. Tour in early 2013.

SATAN'S SATYRS: Merging the riffing, the tone, the fuzz, and the cult-horror worship of the ultra-doom underground with lo-fi production and fuck-you attitude - Album out in September

From Herndon, Virginia, something wicked this way comes. Raised on riffs and cult VHS flicks, SATAN'S SATYRS combine the super-fuzz garage sensibilities of Detroit in ’65 and the heaviness of contemporary Doom, and through a series of ultra-limited singles and EPs have become one of the most talked up underground bands of recent years and now; following limited pressings on vinyl LP, Cassette & Compact Disc, their 2012 debut album 'Wild Beyond Belief!', a ripping deluge of blasphemous scuzz-rock workouts, will see it's first commercial UK / European release via the Bad Omen Records label this autumn.

First formed in 2009, during a summer spent immersed in horror movies, weed, sixties Rolling Stones, Black Flag, Electric Wizard, Black Sabbath and the first High Tide LP, the band has shifted from being a duo comprising bassist, vocalist & drummer Clayton "Claytanas" Burgess and a mysterious guitar player known only as The Ghoul, down to a one man unit solely comprising Clayton himself (who sang, played all the instruments and even handled the recording on 'Wild Beyond Belief') then back up to it's current power-trio status which is completed by drummer Stephen Fairchild and Jarrett Nettnin on guitar.   It was this deadly three piece which took to the road in the US this summer, sharing the stage with everyone from Los Angeles’ own scumdogs The Mentors to Cleveland, Ohio's filthiest export Midnight, as well as making the trip across the Atlantic to deliver two sets at the annual Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, where they were personally invited by Electric Wizard to play their Electric Acid Orgy and stuck around for a couple of days more to wow the assembled faithful once more with a full set of Blue Cheer covers.



Satan’s Satyrs are currently, switching between song crafting for their second full length LP and bouts of touring the US where they are honing their live show for the inevitable return to the European stage.

Merging the riffing, the tone, the fuzz, and the cult-horror worship of the ultra-doom underground with the unbridled energy, lo-fi production, and fuck-you attitude of garage punk seems like such a natural fit that it’s impossible to believe that Satan’s Satyrs are the first band to accomplish it, but on 'Wild Beyond Belief!' the band have pulled it off almost flawlessly and deliver a refreshing blast of youthful energy in the staid wasteland of modern heavy metal. This latest pressing has been fully mastered from the source files to qtr inch tape by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Cathedral, Hexvessel, The Gates of Slumber etc...) for maximum warmth, volume and thickness of sound and will be released on September 23rd 2013.
